Instruction Ingredients

INDIVIDUAL-LEVEL (Reported on Annual Evaluations)

1. Student Learning Assessments - Measure student learning  (at least TWO Quick SLAs and TWO SLA Worksheets per SEMESTER - if possible, include some subject classes rather than all ENGL1120)

2. Teaching Observations - Observations done by your librarian colleagues  (ONE peer observation per YEAR for TENURED librarians;   ONE observation per YEAR from BOTH Instruction Coordinator & Department Head for UNTENURED librarians )

3. Student Evaluations (I Need Feedback) - These differ from Student Learning Assessments in that they focus on teaching abilities/presentation skills, not necessarily on what the students learned (at least TWO per SEMESTER)

PROGRAM-LEVEL (NOT reported on Annual Evaluations)

4. Instructor Surveys - Send surveys to every instructor/professor for whom you teach                                                                                                   (if you teach multiple sections for the same person, you only need to send one email to that instructor).
