Library Databases

Use the following databases to look for scholarly, trade, and popular articles about a country.

Search Tips

  • Magazine, trade publication and newspaper articles can be excellent sources of information about business in other countries.  Try searching for the name of your country.

  • If you get too many results, try narrowing down your search by adding in additional keywords or terms related to what you want to find out "about" that country.  Are you looking for companies, industries, trends, forecasts or something related to their regulations or operations?

  • If you don't get any results, you may be using too many keywords or need to think of your industry more broadly.  For example, if you can't find any information on the country, maybe you should look for information on the geographic region.

Web Sources for Business News

The following websites provide news the business environment.  While they are all considered generally reputable, the content of each article is usually very brief.  For academic purposes you will likely want to focus on using library databases to find articles, and use these websites as supplemental sources.
