IPUMS-USA This link opens in a new window The Integrated Public Use Microdata Series (IPUMS) consists of thirty-eight high-precision samples of the American population drawn from fifteen federal censuses and from the American Community Surveys of 2000-2004. The IPUMS assigns uniform codes across all the samples and brings relevant documentation into a coherent form to facilitate analysis of social and economic change. Registration required: users are automatically registered when they agree to all conditions for use.

U.S. Censuses in the Auburn Libraries

Clicking on the year will run a subject search in the Auburn University Libraries Classic Catalog. These listings include the Libraries' holdings of both the statistical and manuscript censuses. Remember, the manuscript census is released only after seventy years have passed, making 1950 the most current release. Also, Auburn primarily selects the manuscript census for Alabama and selected counties of other mainly southeastern states.
