Federal Depository Library


This library is a congressionally designated depository for U.S. Government documents. Public access to the government documents collection is guaranteed by public law. (Title 44 United States Code)


Government Documents

Auburn University Libraries has been a depository for U.S. government publications since 1907. Many Federal documents can be found by searching the Libraries' catalog. For reference assistance or help in locating documents not found in the catalog, stop by the Media and Digital Resource Lab on the 1st floor of the Library, e-mail the Microforms and Government Documents Unit, or call the Libraries' reference desk at 334-844-1737.

Government documents, microforms, and maps are located on the 1st floor of the Ralph Brown Draughon Library.

Looking for Presidential documents? This site attempts to briefly lay out and link to all major sources for these materials which includes Presidential directives, proclamations, signing statements, executive orders,  memoranda, and other documents.
