The Auburn Family is Growing
AU Global broke records this semester with its largest cohort of incoming international students yet. This is great news for faculty as many of us are beginning to see much more cultural diversity in our classes as AU Global students matriculate from the program and enter Auburn as international students (i.e. no longer “AU Global” students). AU Global students come from all over the world with a majority from China. The international students you are seeing in your classes have already completed a year of study on Auburn’s campus. They’ve had a range of introductory cultural and academic experiences, and have probably learned quite a bit about navigating campus.
This guide is a resource for faculty and will grow and change to meet the needs of instructors as the population of international students on campus grows and changes. Please contact Lindsay Doukopoulos if you have teaching needs beyond the purview of this guide or if you need more targeted support for a particular class or challenge.
