Information about printing in the I&RC, printer types, costs, and policies.

SELF-SERVICE LASER PRINTING

Laser printing is self-service. All student charges for laser printing are automatically charged to your
student eBill.
Faculty/staff/departments will begin to see charges via funding code/department billing for printing activity starting in the first quarter of 2023.

Charges will appear monthly for the previous month's printing activity.

Color laser printing costs.

  • Available sheet sizes include Letter, Legal, Tabloid, and certain pre-approved custom media sizes generally provided by the user;
  • Our color laser printer supports double-sided (duplex) printing for most media types.
  • Letter (8.5x11) and Legal (8.5x14) - 35¢.
  • Tabloid (11x17) - 60¢.
  • Duplex prints - 70¢ Letter and Legal, $1.20 Tabloid

  Black-and-white (monochrome) laser printing costs.

  • Available sheet sizes include Letter, Legal, Tabloid, and certain pre-approved custom media sizes generally provided by the user;
  • Letter (8.5x11) and Legal (8.5x14) - 10¢
  • Tabloid (11x17) - 15¢
  • Duplex prints - 20¢ Letter and Legal, 30¢ Tabloid

LARGE FORMAT PRINTING

Large format printing is a resource for students and employees of Auburn University for class assignments or academic research projects and is available only during I&RC Help Desk hours. See the I&RC Help Desk for setup assistance and approval of large format print jobs. Student printing fees are charged on your e-bill. Faculty and staff will need to provide a FOP.

Printing capability includes items up to 36" on one side however, we can print up to 44" if you supply your own approved print media.

Poster printing is prioritized in favor of class assignments, academic research projects, and presentations.

Pricing has changed for large-format prints:

  • For students, general printing is still at a flat rate of $7.00 per page; a price increase is likely to occur in August 2024.

  • For faculty and staff including students printing on behalf of faculty or staff, printing on departmental or grant funds, the cost is $3.00 per Sq. Ft. for each poster printed.
