The Digital Wall in the I&RC is a large, interactive digital display located on the first floor of the RBD Library. It provides a one-of-a-kind platform for 3D geospatial visualization, panoramic images, sounds, video, Google Earth tours, and more in a shared immersive environment. Auburn holds the distinction of being one of the few institutions in the Southeast to make this unique and innovative resource available to its patrons.
The Digital Wall can feature true multimedia presentations to include the following: graphics, web pages, panoramic images/video, sound, 3D models, video, geographic data including KML tours, and Google Street views.
"Using the [Digital Wall], based on Liquid Galaxy, marketers, educators, and researchers can combine maps, GIS data, 3D models, images, sound, panoramic videos, KML, and other data overlays to showcase information and visually-rich stories. The result is the excitement of a customized and dynamic immersive experience, either individual or communal." - VisionPort website
