Introduction to the Library of Architecture, Design, and Construction (LADC)

The Library of Architecture, Design, and Construction (LADC) at Auburn University supports both students and professionals in design-related fields. It has a large collection of over 45,000 books covering areas like architecture, building science, environmental design, graphic design, industrial design, and landscape architecture. LADC also subscribes to over 100 periodicals, providing users with access to the latest research and industry trends. The library offers research assistance to guide users through its resources, which is particularly beneficial for students and researchers. To fit different schedules, LADC has extended weeknight hours, allowing access beyond regular business hours. It also provides specialized technology, like design software, printing, scanning, and even equipment for model-making. Users can borrow materials like books and periodicals, as well as other resources when available. The library not only serves the university but also acts as a resource for local professionals, helping bridge the gap between academia and practice.
