Getting Adobe Acrobat DC

  1.  All login computers in the library should have Adobe Acrobat DC.
  2. STUDENTS: All Auburn University students are eligible for An Adobe Acrobat Pro DC subscription by utilizing the Adobe Creative Cloud subscription for students. If you have not yet signed up for a subscription, go to https://adobe.auburn.edu to request yours. It only takes about 45 minutes for your request to be processed. 
  3. EMPLOYEES: All Auburn University employees are eligible for an Adobe Acrobat Pro DC subscription. To obtain your subscription, contact your Distributed IT provider (https://aub.ie/itproviders).

Getting Started: Scan and OCR

The Scan and OCR option is located under the Tools tab or in Tools sidebar.

  1. Open document you want to OCR
  2. Select Scan & OCR by clicking on it.
  3. This will open a toolbar just above the document.
  4. Look for the Recognize Text pulldown and click on In This File.
  5. This will open another toolbar under Recognize Text
  6. Use the pulldown to select the language of the article.
  7. Click on the Recognize Text button.
  8. Make sure to save when you are done.
