(U.S. Department of State) Country Background Notes-This resource compiles facts about the land, people, history, government, political conditions, economy, and foreign relations of countries around the world.

International Organizations

Human Development Index (HDI) from the United Nations-The Human Development Index (HDI) is a summary measure of average achievement in key dimensions of human development: a long and healthy life, being knowledgeable and have a decent standard of living. The HDI is the geometric mean of normalized indices for each of the three dimensions.
International Organization and Statistics-This list compiled by the UC-Berkeley Libraries contains links to international organizations and statistical sources worldwide.
International Statistical Agencies-This list is compiled by the U.S. Census.
