OSP Manages all non-financial matters related to externally sponsored grants and contracts awarded to Auburn.

The Office of Proposal Services and Faculty Support (PSFS) assists faculty and staff in the broad aspects of proposal development for their research, scholarly, and creative programs.

Ensures that faculty, staff, and students receive the assistance and support necessary to engage in a wide range of research activities.

The Office of University Writing (OUW) offers a grant writing workshop that lasts approximately 75 minutes. It includes a discussion of the rhetorical situation of grant writing (purpose, audience, genre expectations, etc.), an introduction of the narrative framework for understanding grant writing, and a review of sample grant proposals. The goal: to examine how you have used these rhetorical and narrative elements to create a successful proposal.

Auburn has links to federal training resources and subscribes to training modules via the CITI Program website that may be of interest to researchers and research administrators.

Through classroom engagement and experiential learning, participants learn about sources of federal, state, and local funding for research and other extramurally funded projects, sponsor agencies, industry and foundation sponsors, institutional models, the grant award cycle, and the typical roles and responsibilities seen in sponsored project administration.
