Auburn University (AU) Libraries serve more than 33,000 students and 1400 faculty with a collection of more than 7.5 million volumes. The Libraries seek to further the mission of Auburn University in multiple ways. Subject librarians contribute to faculty and student success by helping them find, evaluate, and effectively use information for grants, publications, and assignments. The Innovation and Research Commons (I&RC) helps AU faculty and students use innovative technologies—including 3D printing and Extended Reality—in teaching and research projects. Rare and unique items relating to the histories of Auburn University, the state of Alabama, the southeastern region, the Civil War, Native Americans, and aviation are collected, preserved, and housed by the AU Libraries’ Special Collections and Archives Department. Finally, the Auburn University Digital Library develops accessible digital collections that support the teaching and research of Auburn faculty and students. These collections are made available to researchers, educators, and students in the state, nation, and the world.
