The maps cover diverse subjects such as military history, agriculture, forestry, and transportation. Many historical maps (from the 18th century and later) are included in this set. They are indexed by the geographic areas they depict, the subjects they represent, their titles, and the names associated with the maps either as cartographers, explorers, or in some other capacity.
