If you're having a hard time figuring out how the paper you selected fits into the big picture (the broader implications), it may help to do some background research. This page is intended to help you find reliable sources for scientific background information. The majority of the websites included here are published by academic societies, universities, or publishers. That means they contain a lot more subject-specific information than a general website like Wikipedia (and have more street credibility). One thing to keep in mind: these are not peer-reviewed sources!
