Information

                    For Students, Faculty, or Staff

ArcGIS Pro licenses for students or faculty/staff are now distributed through the Auburn IT Software portal at: https://aub.ie/GetarcGIS (login required).

                                                                       Link to software portal

Students can now make their own request for ArcGIS Licensing through the portal. You must login for the request to complete properly.

Once your request is made it could take about 24 hours to be fulfilled. At that point you will receive an email that will include a username and ask that you create your own password. Once you have established this new username and password you will use it to sign in to all your ArcGIS products no matter what computer you find them on.

Downloading, installing, and running ArcGIS Pro
Please note that ArcGIS Pro will only run in a Windows environment.
To download ArcGIS Pro, go to your membership portal.
Click your name in the upper right and choose My Settings - Select Licenses and you will see a list of all the licenses that are automatically available to you. Toward the bottom find ArcGIS Pro and the download link for the software.

Please Note:
ArcGIS does not run on MacOS - for that you would need to purchase a subscription to Parallels software and a copy of Windows 10 or 11. Parallels will allow you to run both MacOS and WinOS.
As an alternative, all the Windows machines throughout the library have ArcGIS Pro installed for your use. We also have a remote access portal that is fast and reliable called Remote Lab.

The 1-year Student Edition of ArcGIS Desktop (ArcMap) is no longer available with Auburn University's license. The AU Software team is asking that users move to ArcGIS Pro. These links may be helpful for making the switch:
