Requesting APCs for Open Access Publishing

APCs in Open Access Publishing

Article Processing Charges, also known as Article Publication Charges or APCs, represent the various costs necessary to publish and distribute open access publications.

About the Copyright Clearance Center & RightsLink

[Working Text: The Copyright Clearance Center (CCC), or RightsLink, is an online institutional portal that allows AU Libraries to review and approve open access publishing requests from Auburn University authors.

When an author elects to publish their article through open access in addition to their initial publication, AU Libraries receive a notice from the RightsLink portal about the request for APC funding. The Libraries then determine whether to approve the article for open access coverage and apply APC tokens to cover publication charges.)
