The most effective and economical preservation measures for all types of materials (e.g., paper, books, photographs, audio-visual, etc.) are preventive: Good Care, Proper Storage, and Careful Handling. This is true from the largest of libraries to the smallest of personal collections.
Auburn University Libraries is committed to preserving our collections through thoughtful and responsible actions. While we do not have the capability to offer preservation and conservation services to the community, this LibGuide will provide you with information on preserving your treasures and with links to individuals and organizations that specialize in the preservation of our cultural heritage.
