You can create custom search boxes for the Ebsco Databases by going to the Ebscohost Search Box Builder webpage.
Step 1: Set Search Parameters
- Interface: Ebscohost Research Databases
- Choose Databases (radial button)
- Check one or more AU subscribed databases
- Search: Choose one search option
- Limit Results: Use default options or change
Step 2: Select Authentication Parameters (needed if you want the box to work off campus)
- Proxy Prefix: http://spot.lib.auburn.edu/login?url=
- Method: IP Address (radial button)
Step 3: Choose a Search Box Design
- If you want to customize using Auburn Libraries Logo, do not choose the plain search box
Step 4: Customize the Layout
- Make selections
- Want to use the library logo?
- Choose one of the Search Box Designs (Step 3) with an image
- Replace the EBSCO logo URL with the following:

- To show selected databases in your widget, you'll need to adjust the height accordingly for the box to look right in your Libguide
Step 5: Confirm Your Search Box
- Check the search box looks the way you want it
- Adjust options if necessary or click Reset Form
- Even thought it says "Try it out here" I've not gotten it to work.

- Copy code to clipboard. Paste this code in your web page or Libguide box
- Libguide Box
- Use the Embedded Media & Widget box choice under Multimedia Boxes
- Be sure to name the widget
- Paste code into Plain-Text Editor
- Click Save Changes
