Selecting a limiter for Peer Reviewed publications

When you are constructing your search in a database, look for a check box to limit the results to peer reviewed publication.  Sometimes this option is labeled as "scholarly" or "refereed" sources.  All these terms mean the same thing.  Below is an image of how it usually appears in the EBSCO databases, such as Education Research Complete, ERIC (EBSCO) and APA PsycINFO.
