OpenAthens Implementation Notice

The Libraries recently implemented a new authentication system, OpenAthens, that's more secure and fully GDPR compliant on Monday, August 5, 2024.

As a result, users may experience temporary disruptions in online access to our electronic resources (databases, online journals, e-books, and streaming videos).

For more information on how this impacts alumni access, please visit the E-Resources for Alumni Users page, or contact lib_cathelp@auburn.edu with any questions.

In 1859, the Wirt and Webster literary societies established the first library collection inside the original Old Main building of the East Alabama Male College.

Since then, Auburn University Libraries has expanded its collection to 3.2 million volumes across three library branches and continues to foster research and instruction throughout the Auburn community.
