LADC Student Employees Guide

This website is intended to provide information regarding the various tasks, duties, and functions performed by student workers at the LADC.

Library Collections

On the First Floor:

  • Periodicals/Journals: Bound back issues. 1 day loan for faculty & graduate students only.* [List of periodicals.]

  • Current Journals: Recent issues. Non-circulating items. [List of currently received print periodicals.]

  • Reference Collection: Non-circulating collection for in-library use.

  • Materials Lab: 7-day loan period. [Materials Lab guide.]

  • Reserves: Various shorter loan periods.* Inquire at the Help Desk. [Search for a reserved item.]

  • Magazines: The magazine shelves are by the window next to the Periodicals/Journals.  These are actually the most recent issued editions of periodical publications. The front-facing shelves display the current issue with previous issues stored behind.  In varying lengths of times, the different magazines/periodicals get sent to the Bindary to have multiple issues bound together and added to our Periodicals collection.


On the Second Floor:

  • Books, Oversize Books, and Portfolios: Circulate for 28 days (undergraduates), 90 days (graduate students and staff), or 120 days (faculty).*

  • Theses: Non-circulating collection for in-library use.

  • Blueprints and Plans: For reference use in the library. [Blueprints and Plans guide.]
