Amy worked with IT to have Lumion software put on both the Mac and PC computers.  Lumion is an advanced 3D Rendering Program utilized by many in the CADC and is going to be a great asset to Architecture and Design students.

Remote Lab is a web-based, Windows only, remote desktop you can access using a Windows or MacOS computer. The Remote Lab is aways open, barring any technical issues.

The remote machines feature nearly all of the library’s Windows software that you would normally use on-site in the Innovation & Research Commons (I&RC), the RBD 2nd floor computers, and the Library of Architecture Design and Construction (LADC).

A few tips before you start:

1. When accessing a machine, you will need to authenticate using your DUO account.
2. Allow popups if necessary for apps.lib.auburn.edu.
3. Maximize your browser window and use F11 to go full screen for a better view.
4. While in a remote session, use cloud storage to transfer files to the remote machine or drag and drop files onto the remote window and they will appear in a drive called Guacamole Filesystem.
5. If you are idle for 10 minutes the desktop will be locked, and you will need to log back in. At 4 hours of inactivity, you will be disconnected, and you'll have 4 more hours to log back on or be completely logged out and lose your work.
